Job Description:
Aegis is currently partnered with a major manufacturer located in the Greater Fort Wayne, IN area. Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their maintenance team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. This is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring the efficient functioning of machinery, and driving continuous improvement within an automotive manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a maintenance team of 15+ direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Maintenance Operations: Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maintain optimal equipment performance.
- Budget Management: Plan and manage the maintenance department’s budget, including labor, materials, and repair costs.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all maintenance operations comply with OSHA standards, company policies, and other relevant regulations.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve equipment reliability and implement industry best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production teams to schedule maintenance and minimize disruptions to operations.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Automotive industry experience is required.
- Proven success managing a team of 15 or more direct reports.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in maintenance planning systems and tools.
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes and equipment.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field is preferred but not required; equivalent work experience will be considered.
